What’s New - ChromaVue Transparent GCMI Inks, 1998 Corrugated Containers Conference Proceedings

The evolution of direct print graphics on corrugated board has set in motion changes in press designs, printing plated, and substrates. New formulations for printing inks to accommodate the trend in vulue-added graphics were introduced to the market a few years ago.

One resourceful approach is to use transparent inks on where trapping occurs and gloss is mquimd. This approach utilizes high strength inks (chip dispersions) on coated and uncoated substrates.
