Stand Alone Thermal Oxidizers, 1998 Cluster Rule Symposium Proceedings
This presentation examines the new 1998 Cluster Rule Regulation as it applies to the implementation of Thermal Oxidation Technology.
A regulatory review is provided. The new regulations identify thermal oxidation as MACT. These regulations are aimed at specific emission sources. The specification for thermal oxidizer process performance is reviewed.
A review of emission characteristics from four specified processes is highlighted. Each specific process emission source is aligned with a different stand-alone oxidizer technology.
Basic capital and operating cost comparisons are provided for these four process scenarios, and oxidation equipment is selected and presented.
