Test Methods, Standards, and Specifications for Decorative Laminates, 2004 Decorative & Industrial Laminates Symposium
An overview of test methods, standards, and specifications for the decorative laminate industry is presented along
with some equipment and samples. This presentation will include NEMA, ISO, EN, NALFA, LMA, and ALA test
methods and standards for high pressure decorative laminates (HPL), thermal fused melamine laminates (TFM),
foils and coated low basis weight papers, some films, and laminate flooring. Some government standards, ANSI
and ASTM test methods, and building codes for decorative laminates will be reviewed.
