Custom Graphics is a service that some companies offer to customers as a solution for highly specialized
projects. There are several stages involved in completing a Custom Graphics project once an order has
been placed. First, artwork generated by the customer or by a graphic design firm is sent to the printing
company on CD. After the service bureau has received the artwork and specifications, the files are
transferred from CD to a graphics design computer. They are then manipulated in size, color, pattern, or
arrangement in order to fulfill the customer’s requirements. Once this stage is complete, the customer’s
images are then printed digitally onto light base weight paper using large format inkjet printers. The printed
paper is then shipped to a High Pressure Laminate manufacturer. The HPL manufacturer processes the
paper into a laminate and then cuts the laminate sheets to customer-specified sizes. And finally, the custom
graphic laminates are shipped to the customer, completing the project.
