This introductory online course module was developed by Alabama Southern Community College under a grant by the National Science Foundation. The course module focuses on chemical recovery operations and terminology.

Learning objectives:

• Learn about the conversion of green liquor into white liquor.
• Examine Caustisizing equipment and reaction.
• Understand environmental and energy challenges.
