Online Course Description:
This introductory online course module was developed by Alabama Southern Community College under a grant by the National Science Foundation. The course focuses on U.S. environmental laws and regulations, air emission compounds and sources, air treatment options, and effluent treatment (primary, and secondary activated sludge and aerated lagoon) operations.
Learning objectives:
Increase understanding of U.S. environmental laws and regulations by reviewing the history of environmental legislation in the U.S.; summaries of
air and water discharge regulations; and the permitting process.
