The various types of pre-impregnated papers manufactured for the furniture industry and produced by impregnation with resin on a paper machine are discussed. The materials used in the manufacture of those papers are identified. The use of a variety of resin mixes to produce papers with different characteristics are discussed together with the problems that may occur during manufacture.
