More than 100 continuous double belt presses are already successfully working worldwide. The technical development, however, has to go on to reduce costs and meet new extended customer requirements regarding higher product features and new products.

Most of you will know that 20 years ago - in 1975 - the first small Double Belt Press (DBP) was installed for the production of edge-banding material from melamine impregnated papers. This press was 2 ft. wide and offered a pressure of about only 5 bar (70 psi). Some years later came the first continuous DBP 1300 mm wide/4 ft. for production of decorative laminates. Shortly, due to the significant advantages of the continuous press system, the laminate market was facing a selling boom of continuous DBPs worldwide.
