In the early 60’s PP has been processed with the castfilm technology the first time. At this moment nobody could imagine, what kind of applications could be targeted with these polymers and also technology. The most astonishing properties were the amazing optics (gloss/haze) of the PP films vs. the well known LDPE films. Today we can value PP castfilm as one of the success stories within the field of plastics and packaging. The current volume of PP Castfilm in Western Europe contributes for around 6 % of the total PP consumption.
