The polyester films market has experienced considerable consolidation over the past decade. This paper briefly reviews the current state of the industry and what market demands are driving the shape of things to come.
An ability to produce laminates without the need to wait for the curing of traditional adhesives offers many advantages. This paper focuses on films developed specifically for the direct extrusion coating / laminating of resins such as low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene co-polymers. In addition to this, consideration is also given to other polyester films that offer advantages such as high metal and ink adhesion.
