The paper will discuss the philosophy of using a “roll sheeter” positioned inline to a sheet fed printing press. The design features describing the roll stand, decurling, cutting, and underlap delivery to the press’s feeder section will be reviewed. The operational benefits of inline sheeting prior to printing will be discussed, describing crewing requirements, accuracy of cutoff, and throughout.
