Influence of Hot Melts in Paper Recycling, 2001 Hot Melt Symposium Proceedings
Dr. Hermann Onusseit--The idea of sustainable development, introduced 1992 at the environmental summit in Rio de Janeiro, is of increasing importance for worldwide economic actions. Especially, products that have a life cycle that only lasts for days or weeks must be designed in a resources-saving way.
Most products made of paper have a life span of only a few days (e. g., newspapers) or a few weeks (e. g., packaging). Therefore it is not striking that the thought of recycling has been a firm component of paper production for a long time. Paper recycling has increased steadily through the last years and now has reached a high technical level.
