Improved Method for Color Measurement of Adhesives Systems, 1993 Hot Melt Symposium Proceedings

Mark S. Kroll

As the adhesive industry continues to conform to meet world quality standards, there is a drive toward improved accuracy of color measurement and specification. It is becoming necessary for us to look to improved methods of color measurement over the traditional Gardner scale (ASTM-D-1544). This paper proposes one solution that would be consistent with production requirements of quick and easy measurement yet give more precise and consistent measurement of color over the Gardner scale.
