New Focus on Test Method Development in ASTM Activities of D01.34. D01.38, and D14.5, 1997 Hot Melt Symposium Proceedings

The availability of standard test methods in the Hot Melt Adhesives Industry is very important to maintaining consistent product and quality control. The American Society for Testing and Materials’ (ASTM) sub committee activity is vital to keeping test methods current and technically sound in this rapidly changing industry. This is done through verifying test methods via interlab validation of test procedures that can impact end use performance. This paper discusses the recent activities of three ASTM sub committees and the test methods that have broad utility in the Hot Melt Adhesives Industry.
