Hot-melt adhesive is formulated and manufactured to precise specifications. The end user’s adhesive supply unit can reduce the performance of the hot-melt adhesive. In many applications the. adhesive supply unit design has a drastic affect on altering the hot-melt adhesive bond, viscosity and flow during the application process. These variations in the adhesive are not commonly noticed on a production or packaging line. However this variation results in numerous hours of down time annually as well as vast sums of rejected or scrap products. Current technology in hot-melt adhesive supply units can increase the application performance of the hot-melt adhesive. The increased hot-melt adhesive performance results in increased production and packaging line efficiencies while reducing maintenance and unnecessary downtime.
