A database containing important corrosion related information for recovery boilers has been developed. In order to collect as much data as possible, a detailed survey of all relevant published materials was conducted. The articles were critically reviewed and any data pertaining to the materials of interest or environmental conditions that may be encountered in recovery boilers was extracted for inclusion in the database. The database is forms-based, user-friendly, and is fully searchable. The database can be used as an aid in material selection for a particular environment or may be used to predict the behavior of a material in a variety of environments. The results of a search may be viewed on-screen or printed. The results may also be exported to a spreadsheet for further manipulation or presented in a graphical format.
