Designing Ozone Generating Systems, 1996 International Pulp Bleaching Conference Proceedings

Ozone generation involves the use of oxygen to generate a highly oxidative gas for pulp bleaching. The design and operation of an ozone system requires an understanding of the various components which make up the overall process, their importance to the system as a whole and their relationship to one another. The ozone system must be capable of producing the required quantities of ozone and introducing it to the process stream requiring treatment in an effective and efficient manner. At the same time, close attention must be paid to safety issues and the corrosive nature of ozone in air or solution.
