Various lignocellulose materials have been chemically-treated to remove the lignin to improve their accessibility to biological and chemical agents. After chemical processing, the products resulted from enzymatically treated with different comercial preparations what contributes to the cleavage of the lignin-hemicellulases linkages, thus facilitating the accessibility and efficiency of the chemicals used in the bleaching process. The obtained results allow as to use a P1 -P2 sequence or a P1 -D-P2 sequence to bleach the above mentioned lignocellulose materials. It was observed that by decreasing of hemicellulose content during enzymatic treatment, the bleacheability of the pulp could be improved. Also, the effect of bleaching agents was found to be more pronounced in the case of enzymatically treated materials, being increasing by decreasing of lignin content.
