Opportunities in Green and White Liquor Handling Towards Mim-Concept, 1997 Minimum Effluent Mills Symposium Proceedings

New implementations in green and white liquor handling are enabling more options in handling of non-process elements and optimizing water balance in the white liquor plant. Green liquor filtration technology and development in white liquor filtration towards more efficient techniques are offering new opportunities for water and metals management. This paper will review the operation performance of green and white liquor filtration techniques of the Ahlstrom X-Filter TM and CD-Filter TM . This paper reviews experiences in green liquor filtration and it’s impact on lime mud quality. Also this paper presents water balances for different white liquor clarification processes.
