Novel Properties Imparted to Nonwoven Fabrics by IPN Polymers, 1990 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings
New technology in emulsion polymer nonwoven binders offers previously unattainable copolymer compositions. These new copolymers [poly*styrene-vinlacetate)] are made by interpenetrating network polymerizations. Performance advances in nonwoven resiliency, tensile strength and/or environmental resistance can be design on a monomeric level and delivered in an emulsion polymer form.
