Analysis of Nonwovens with Optical Microscopy, 1993 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings
Walter J. Rantanen
Considerable information about the process of forming a nonwoven material and the fibers used can be determined by simple microscopic analysis. The optical microscope can be used with selective attachments and filters along with various techniques to obtain important information from a sample. These techniques tend to give quick and reliable information but should be utilized when analyzing nonwoven materials.
