New Approach to Fabric Cleaning for Non-Woven Machines, 1993 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings

Joseph A. Bolton

A challenge in the non-wovens industry has always been cleaning and conditioning of fabrics used for forming and transporting the manufactured web. A system has been developed to meet this challenge. It consists of a single jet traversing shower, a high pressure hot water source and an air knife. The operating and design parameters of each of these system components will be reviewed and discussed in detail. Focus will also be given to the benefits and operating results of these systems.
