Product Stewardship A Vision of the Year 2000, 1992 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings
Not only profit but Business Survival will face industry in the next decade and beyond. Survival will become increasingly a way of life. Mutual cooperation between supplier, customer and end-user will become necessary in order to comply with and exceed environmental regulations in future years. This becomes not only a moral obligation to the protection of the environment for future generations. It also impacts the bottom line through the foresight into potential regulation. Public education and industry image must be improved upon in order to eliminate prejudicial biases which misleadingly regulate firms out of business. Supplier and customer resources must be combined to work cooperatively toward a viable and profitable end for all parties concerned.
