ISO 9000 Certification and the Path to Improvement, 1995 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings

Jim Heaton & Rachel Kramer

Asten Dryer Fabrics, Inc.

Asten made a corporate decision in 1991 to register all of its locations to one of the IS0 9000 standards. Using the technique of building on the experience of each location made the registration process flow more smoothly and efficiently with the last Asten location completing their registration by December 1992. Many benefits have been obtained from these IS0 9000 based quality systems and the improvements have become more evident in the years following registration.
