A modular nonwoven processing line has been installed for treatment of dry laid webs and wet laid webs of both natural and man-made fibers, or their blends. Treatment potential includes Hydroentangling, Thermal Thru-Air Bonding, two different methods of Foam Bonding, and Hot Oil Calender Bonding. Sample widths can range from 300 mm (12”) for Wet Laid Webs, to 600 mm (24”) for Dry Laid Webs. Machinery in the pilot line is described in detail, and fabric treatment possibilities are discussed.
