Plant Waste Minimization Program Could Unfairly Target Disposable Media Usage for Liquid Filtration, 1997 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings
In order for the media user or supplier to continue to enjoy the advantages of non-woven fabrics for liquid filtration applications, attention must be given to the inherent problems at the installation. The lack of awareness of fluid needs and system demands creates an atmosphere where the fabric is assumed the problem when it is often a victim of poor control. Consequently, waste minimization programs attempt to totally eliminate non-woven media usage when it still can be the best option for the application. The better step is to (where possible) define the problem causing the excessive usage and fix it so consumption is more acceptable.
