Random III: A New Generation in Carding Technology, 1997 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings

Nonwovens made from dry laid staple fibers are used in a large number of diversified applications. Therefore, it is most desirable for the producers that the acquired manufacturing equipment permit a wide variety of web formations in order to receive maximum returns on their investments. Spinnbau/Bremen of Germany has recently developed a new generation of carding equipment that offers various possibilities in web formations without any mechanical adjustments and only with push button operations. This high tech machinery and its utilization for producing high quality nonwoven products will be discussed in this paper.
