Pressure to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOC’S) and formaldehyde emissions into the environment and work place has steadily increased as newer Clean Air Act regulations are implemented. Recent technology advancements in starch-graft copolymers and non-formaldehyde thermosetting resins have resulted in systems with improved environmental acceptability.
