Effect of the Properties of Latex Modifier on Shingle Mat, 1998 Nonwovens Conference Proceedings

The binder for shingle mat is composed predominately of urea formaldehyde resin. One way to boost performance is to add a modifying latex. This paper presents results obtained by varying the chemical and physical properties of the latex.
