The MultiFilâ„¢ Composite Filament System consists of a multi-station, in-line spinning operation wherein each station can be selectively operated, and quickly reconfigured to produce a spunbond or meltblown web. This is accomplished by the incorporation of interchangeable filament spinning apparatus, i.e. a spunbond fiber spinning apparatus that can be readily converted to a meltblowing spinning apparatus or vice versa. This flexibility of each station permits the selective manufacture of a variety of composites which include meltblown and/or spunbond layers in different combinations.
