Engineering Management: Control Systems Capital Project - A Consultants View, 1991 Process Control, Electrical & Info. Conference Proceedings
This paper presents methods and procedures required for the successful engineering of a control systems project, including thoughts for opportunities to produce a quality end product. It covers areas which have been identified through experience to have a significant effect on the success of a project. The areas of scoping, communications, vendor package systems, change orders, design criteria, and schedules will be covered with examples describing paths to success. Also, some of the pitfalls are noted with possible solutions as viewed by a consulting engineer.
