Practical Considerations in the Metering of Natural Gas and Steam Flows, 1997 Process Control, Electrical & Info. Conference Proceedings
The economical, accurate measurement of natural gas and steam is becoming increasingly important as users strive to minimize operating costs and maximize plant efficiency. A number of practical considerations must be addressed to ensure accurate flow measurement. These issues are addressed and the benefits of using a fully compensated flow calculation are presented. The current state of the art in multivariable transmitters allows each of these issues to be effectively and easily taken care of and provides accurate mass flow measurement using differential producers.
