This paper will review Colorcon’s No-Tox® AM TM technology providing industry with inks and coatings that are treated with active antimicrobial agents. This new antimicrobial technology is based on AgION TM Technologies’ silver zeolite antimicrobial products and proprietary formulations that provide controlled release of silver ion and are suitable for direct food contact applications. Data will be presented showing the efficacy of these new products against various microbes as well as their applications and limitations.
