Elastic Films from Vistamaxx Specialty Elastomers, 2004 PLACE Conference

Vistamaxx Specialty Elastomers, hereafter referred to as SP elastomers, are polyolefin elastomers containing a predominant (>80%) amount of propylene with isotactic propylene crystallinity, with the balance of the composition being ethylene and other α-olefins. These polymers are highly elastic with excellent recovery from deformation, and share the processability of polymers such as polyethylene and polypropylene. The paper discusses the details of the structure, morphology, elastic character, processing and elastic properties of cast films made using these polymers.
