Non-polar processing aids are able to open the processing window for manufacturers of extruded products providing opportunities to run faster line speeds without adversely affecting quality. Non-polar process aids therefore allow converters to improve productivity, and hence profitability, and provide opportunities to achieve power savings. The benefits of using a non-polar processing aid during extrusion are discussed based on the real-life experiences of producers of extruded sheet as well as blown- and cast-film manufacturers.
