Liquid Overlay--High Wear Resistant Surfaces--, 1996 Plastic Laminates Symposium Proceedings

A new patented invention allows to replace overlay for HPL and CPL. Wear resistances between 400 and 9.000 IP are obtained with an additional coating of the surface of the decor film in the same operation of impregnating with Melamine resin. Producing decor films for LPL flooring is possible too. A drastic cost reduction, compared to the common way of producing HPL and flooring is achieved.
