Industrial Associations of Laminate Flooring, 1997 Asian Laminates Symposium Proceedings
Laminate flooring was introduced in Sweden in the beginning of the 1980s.
Prior to this introduction there had not been a significant new product or category introduction since the 1960s and the growth of laminate flooring has been extraordinary. However, for a young, rapidly growing industry it is important to establish and maintain some rules and standards or the category might descend into chaos.
For this purpose EPLF (European Producers of Laminate Flooring) and NALFA (North American Laminate Flooring Association).were founded in 1994 and 1997 respectively.
