A white water stabilization control has been developed and implemented based on an optical consistency and retention measurement system. The system controls the consistency of white water coming off the paper machine by adjusting the retention aid dosage. This presentation addresses the operation, utilization, and advantages of the control system as seen on a paper machine in Finland.
