The mechanism of pressure forming is discussed, together with the design of a successful short former. Recent developments which have resulted in a new range of short rotary formers capable of producing high quality products at speeds up to 400 m/min is presented.
The design of a pressure former that operates in conjunction with a short fabric run and a special type of drainage box is described including details of the range and application of this equipment. Comments are made on future developments and applications.
