Recent Developments in Stickies Measurement Standardization, 1997 Process & Product Quality Conference Proceedings
Developments over the past year in the isolation, identification, and quantification of “stickies” from a pulp or paper matrix have been significant. This review will emphasize public sector method standardization activities in TAPPI, ISO, and ASTM after discussing definitions and general methodology appearing in the procedures being standardized. Available information on the comparative ease, reliability and sensitivity of the available technologies will be discussed, as well as the options for sub classification of “stickies” in the measurement scheme.
