Study of the Liquid Penetraion Properties of Paper through the Use of UltraSound, 1997 Process & Product Quality Conference Proceedings
Advances in ultrasound sensor technology have led to an innovative method for studying the composition of paper, other materials and liquids and the dynamics of their interaction. A test sample is placed in a measurement cell containing liquid, a 1 or 2 MHz ultrasonic signal is generated and passed through the sample. The change in ultrasonic intensity is metered to analyze the effect of the liquid on the test sample.
