Updating of a Fine Paper Deinking Plant, 1990 Pulping Conference Proceedings

This paper describes the work done for the updating of the Noranda Recycling Plant in Thorold, Ontario. It relates the development steps toward a redesign of the present 100 tons per day, 50 year-old fine paper deinking plant. This is not a modification of the actual system, but the thoughts underneath a general redesign.

Each step of the recycling and deinking process will be covered stating generic equipment. Discussions and trial results will be stated to support the recommendations.
