Impact of Neutral Deinking Chemistry on DAF Clarification and Sludge Dewatering of Deink Plant Rejects, 1993 Pulping Conference Proceedings

The application of neutral pH deinking chemistry for recycling of newsprint, magazine, and office waste is compared to conventional alkaline deinking chemistry. The effect of deinking chemistry on DAF clarification of gray water is investigated with respect to bentonite clay/polymer versus dual polymer clarification chemistry. The effect of deinking and clarification chemistry on the dewatering of deink plant sludge rejects is discussed.
