Fiber Recycling - Office Paper Deinking: Pilot and Commercial Mill Results, 1994 Pulping Conference Proceedings

D. W. Matalamaki

Pilot mill and commercial mill trails can provide key data regarding chemical performance, equipment performance and mechanisms of the deinking processes which are not available through laboratory experiment.

This information is important to manufacturers designing improved deinking chemicals and recycling equipment. It is also important in providing the data needed by mills to decide which chemicals and equipment to use in addition to optimizing the order of process unit operations.

This roundtable will consist of reports describing how pilot mill and commercial mill trials have provided data that cannot be modeled in the lab which is necessary for understanding the deinking process.
