Practical Experience on Paper Making with Non Wood Fibers, 1998 Pulping Conference Proceedings

The paper making methods needed to be used for non wood fiber differs from wood on account of fiber morphology, physical and chemical properties. This paper compares the experience gained in the stock preparation and paper making of most commonly used non wood fibers, such as wheat straw, rice straw, bagasse, bamboo, reed, kenaf and common hemp. This paper then goes to point out the variations that have to be again made significantly on account of the unique characteristics of each class of non wood fibers listed above.
