Effect of Consistency, Volume and Residence Time on Laboratory Flotation Performance, 1994 Recycling Symposium Proceedings

Chi J. Yu, Ph.D.

Different types of laboratory flotation units are available in the current marketplace. Different volumes of pulp are used for different laboratory devices. In this study, the effect of consistency and volume used in a laboratory flotation unit test is investigated. It was found that when either consistency or volume of to-be-deinked pulp increases, the performance of a laboratory flotation unit decreases dramatically.
