This new RCF screen. the Delta T Screen. is a high-consistency, high efficiency barrier screen and is based on the proven technology of the Delta- Screen. As a barrier screen it has to rely on the barrier for efficient separation. The most efficient barrier is a screen basket with very fine slots such as the Nimega TM welded-bar basket. It is evident that for high production rates on fine-slotted baskets,high pulp consistencies are imperative, since the hydraulic load at high consistency is low for a given production rate.

In addition to the high efficiency welded bar basket. this new screen also has a new type of rotor. The new rotor is distinguished by internal feed of unscreened stock up through the rotor before it is distributed to the screening zone through the upper or central part of the rotor. This combination of screen basket and rotor maximizes the removal efficiency of debris and stickies at the highest possible accept consistency and minimizes the fiber reject rate.
