This paper will deal with the application of continuous drum type pulping to the slushing of poly coated board and other liquid packaging materials. It will summarize laboratory test results as well as full scale mill tests, and finally discuss actual mill experience with various grades of poly coated materials. The basics of drum pulping will be covered, as well as a look at a full operating system for the processing of liquid packaging to produce white grades.
