Fiber Recovery System Reduction of Operating Costs and Production Waste (Sludge) in the Paper Industry, 1999 Recycling Symposium Proceedings

Jo Trutschler

The Fiber Recovery System (FRS) allows to treat process- or wastewater streams papermills in such a way, that fiber reuse, improvement and reduction of water usage, and the disposal of lower grade fiber and residual materials, often as valuable products to others becomes possible. An advantage of this system is that papermills are able to increase the raw material yield and reduce the operating costs significantly. It is applicable for nearly every papermill that needs to screen, clean and treat the raw material input prior to sending it to the paper machine. It is a system which can be custom designed for every papermill after careful laboratory and pilot plant testing.
