Valmet Tail Shooter and Tail Blower Improve Safety and Boost Productivity, 1990 TAPPI Conference Proceedings

Ever-growing productivity and safety requirements present a challenge to the existing ways of threading. A research project was started to find an improved way to thread the tail from press to dryer section. The project has so far yielded a device to transfer the tail through a separate press or from press to dryer section. Transfer to the ropes is under development.
